Hunter Brooks is a dedicated law clerk at KC Law Group. He brings a unique combination of entrepreneurial experience, academic discipline, and life-proven resilience that enables him to support the firm’s criminal-defense and employment-law practice with tenacity and real-world perspective.

Hunter attended Hendrix College, where he lettered in collegiate baseball and earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. After graduating in just three years from a program that typically required more time, he returned home to help run his family’s retail jewelry store. Within five years under his leadership, the business flourished and became one of the premier jewelry stores in the South.



Hunter later founded his own jewelry-consulting and supply company, Brooks Gems, where he managed sourcing, design, inventory, appraisal of fine items, and client consulting. As a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, he developed meticulous attention to detail and a strong client-service mindset—skills that naturally translate into his legal work.

Hunter lost his brother early in life and vividly remembers the dedication shown by the officers and prosecutors who supported his family. That experience sparked a lasting interest in the law. After moving to California in 2019, navigating unexpected life changes, and overcoming a significant health challenge, Hunter committed himself fully to helping others through a legal career. He enrolled in law school while balancing family responsibilities and has since completed multiple internships, gaining practical experience in litigation, client advocacy, and legal research.

Shaped by a background of perseverance and adaptability, Hunter values fairness, empathy, and accountability. With several family members and close friends in law enforcement, public service, and government roles, he has a deep respect for first responders and a particular interest in representing clients from those backgrounds.

Outside of work and academics, Hunter volunteers as a youth baseball and softball coach—teaching teamwork, discipline, and confidence to young athletes. As both a father and step-father, he brings a strong sense of responsibility, stability, and advocacy to his family life and his professional pursuits.
