SHANNON VELASCO

Shannon Velasco is a Paralegal and Investigator at KC Law Group, A Professional Law Corporation, where she leverages more than two decades of law enforcement and investigative experience to support the firm's criminal defense and employment law practice. Her extensive background in criminal investigations, victim advocacy, evidence analysis, and case management provides valuable insight into complex legal matters and enhances the firm's ability to effectively represent its clients.

Shannon dedicated 22 years of service to the Corona Police Department, including 18 years as a sworn law enforcement officer. Throughout her distinguished career, she served in a variety of assignments, including Patrol Operations, Investigations, Domestic Violence, Field Training, and Background Investigations. She ultimately retired at the rank of Detective, assigned to the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit, where she handled some of the department's most sensitive and complex investigations.

Over the course of her career, Shannon conducted comprehensive criminal investigations involving sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and other serious offenses. Her responsibilities included evidence collection and preservation, forensic documentation, witness and suspect interviews, victim-centered investigations, case preparation, and courtroom testimony. She developed a reputation for thorough investigative work, attention to detail, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to ethical policing and public safety.

At KC Law Group, Shannon applies her investigative expertise to assist with case development, witness interviews, evidence review, document analysis, and trial preparation. Her firsthand understanding of law enforcement procedures and criminal investigations provides a unique perspective that is invaluable in evaluating cases, identifying critical facts, and supporting effective legal advocacy on behalf of clients.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Shannon is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and has completed coursework through Riverside Community College, La Sierra University, and California Baptist University. Her continued academic studies reflect her commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence within the legal and criminal justice fields.
